
The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) will dedicate the completion of its Headquarters and Operations Complex in Cedar Creek in memory of its longtime Board chairman and Bastrop County Commissioner, Lee Dildy. This dedication is for the final phase of the Lee Dildy Operations Complex, a master planned development on a 14-acre site which straddles the Travis/Bastrop County line on SH71.
The CARTS Board of Directors will host local officials and the public in a Grand Opening ceremony Thursday, May 30th at 1pm at the Lee Dildy Operations and Headquarters Complex facility located at 5300 Tucker Hill Lane, Cedar Creek, Texas 78621.
The Complex includes a state-of-the-art maintenance facility, a 100-car park-n-ride station and an Operations/Headquarters facility designed to accommodate CARTS needs for the next 40 years.
CARTS is a rural and small urban transit district serving the non-urbanized areas of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson counties, and the City of San Marcos/Martindale urbanized district.
